About the Company:

We are a long-established HVAC company with a large customer base across the UK & having successfully secured additional maintenance contracts, we need to strengthen our team of engineers to resource the additional work & maintain our customer service. We are currently looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to work within our Service & Maintenance team, covering all aspects of air conditioning & ventilation. A minimum of 5 years experience in the HVAC industry would be essential for all applicants.

Overall purpose

You will be directly responsible for fault finding, maintenance, repair, and useability, and safety of all systems installed and maintained by Aura across London and the south of the country.

Top three goals

  • Customer satisfaction maintained at a level that encourages repeat business and portrays Aura in the best manner possible.
  • Achieving a first-time fix ratio of over 90%
  • Accurate diagnosis of problems and a seamless process right through to the completion of administrative tasks

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service & Maintenance of air conditioning, ventilation equipment & chillers
  • F-gas compliance checks on varied A/C systems
  • Fault-finding / diagnostics of air conditioning systems
  • Accurate & timely reporting of works undertaken
  • Complete works in a safe & competent manner
  • Provide suggestions on improvements to clients and the office team as to how systems can be utilised better or best practice to reduce energy consumption.
  • Care of company resources and ensure optimal utilization while achieving all customer objectives.
  • Evaluate all systems for new and revised maintenance jobs and ensure the most cost-effective and time-conscious outcome is achieved.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Fix ratio of 90%+
  • At least one piece of positive feedback from a client per quarter
  • Diagnostics completed within one site visit on 95% of jobs
  • Administrative tasks completed within 24 hours of the job completion.

Qualifications:

  • Full driving license (preferably clean)
  • F-Gas Level 1 trained/certified (essential)
  • Gas Safe trained/certified (advantage)
  • DBS checked (advantage)

Experience:

  • A least 5 years experience in installation and/or maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Successful experience in a client-facing role.
  • Proven experience prioritising workloads and successfully meeting multiple expectations simultaneously.
  • Experience of managing and making decisions based on budgetary restraints
  • Experience and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A successful track record in building good relationships and communicating effectively with manufacturers, stakeholders, and other engineers.
